I had a good time catching up with my friends here in Atlanta. It was really fun to hang with my friends Anita and Susan. They were both missionaries in Romania. We were in training at IT together. We had a good time hanging out talking, making and eating Bosnian food, and just catching up. It's fun to have friendships that can pick up where they left off - I'm so glad most of my reltationships are like that!
I am in Atlanta, staying at a hotel right next to the airport waiting to fly out to New Hampshire tomorrow morning. I'm taking today to catch up on paperwork, make some phone calls, write some letters... and probably sleep a little here annd there. I have the room nice and cold, so I can snuggle down later. It's kind of fun because my window shades open up to the airport and I can watch the planes take-off and land.
It was kind of weird this morning. I went to the front-desk to ask about printing something later. I had called Tuesday to confirm my reservation and the woman who answered said I could use the printer in the office. So when I told this to the woman behind the desk (I need to print it later today, so i was just confrming I could use it), she said "Oh, um, do you remember who you talked to?" i said, "Oh, no, I don't, I'm sorry." And then the woman asked me "Was the woman you talked to black or white?" I felt so put on the spot! I couldn't decide if there was a right or wrong answer, I didn't want to offend... "Um, I have no idea... I think she may have been white." She then responded "Well it probably was, there's only one white person who works here... yu can come back down later and talk to her" Oh good grief! I felt so awkward! now, the woman at the desk was very nice, you can't tell the "tone" of the conversation n the blog, but it was just so strange to me that she asked me if the wamn was black or white! I should have said something smart, like, I don't know my video phone is in shades of sepia or something...
So, I fly into Boston tomorrow afternoon and then my friend Darin picks me up and we head back into New Hampshire. Do pray for good weather as it is predicted wind and rain/snow in Boston and at my connection site in Chicago... No delays!!!

Hahahaha! AWKWARD!!!!!! HA!
Sepia: a dark yellow brown to light olive brown. Had to look that one up, which sort of balances out the whole confusion over chartreuse, don't you think?
Oops, should I not have mentioned that on your blog, LeAnne? (hee)
Ya know.., I have more important things to do than research colors... :) Is that how you spell chartreuse? That could be a word in a spelling bee final... sheesh... :)
um...have you ever watched a spelling bee?? you would NOT believe the words that come up in the finals!!
