No, no... I didn't forget my spaces. I just spent 5 days with the Roush family (Danny and Lisa) in Lawrenceville, GA. They are friends of mine from my home church in FL, Covenant Presbyterian. Actually, I really didn't know them all that well before this week. They came to the church as I was leaving for Bosnia four and a half years ago. Anyways, they graciously invited me into their home while I was in GA. What a fun time I had! They have four children - Joey (7), Carli (5), Jordan (4) and Benjamin (2). What a fun bunch of kids! And all of them call me "missleannegallick" That is my name to them...
"missleannegallick would you like to read me a book?"
"missleannegallick needs something to drink."
"I think missleannegallick needs to say something about me."
"missleannegallick - i went poopoo on the potty!"
"where's missleannegallick?"
"missleannegalick, do you like that food?
It was so CUTE!
This was a fun story that Lisa told me... when she told the kids I was coming, Joey asked if my husband would be coming along as well. Lisa said "Well, no, missleannegallick doesn't have a husband." Joey just looked at her and said "Oh! She's a widow!" I thought I was going to die laughing. Lisa said she then went on to explain thhat not all women have husbands. Apparently Joey gave her an odd look, and then went on how I should marry their "uncle dave" who doesn't have a wife. It was quite the cute story. :)
It was also so special to find out that these kids, whom I don't know at all, pray for me every night by name... "please bless missleannegallick..." It was such a joy for me to have them welcome me, a stranger, in their home and befriend me so quickly. No shyness, no trying to impress - just "missleannegallick is here!!" I think that's awesome. I love it when kids pray for me. I'm so glad so many of my friends' children pray for me by name. I'm so glad they see my picture and know I'm out there even though I'm so far away. I'm glad I'm not a stranger even to people I've never met...
I'm now visiting another family from Covenant up here in GA (where it's cold and a bit snowy - uugh). I'll be with John and Becky Spain through tomorrow and then head back to see my friends Anita and Susan in Alpharetta till Wednesday night. Then I think i will get a hotel in Atlanta and take a day off and relax on Thursday. I fly to New Hampshire through Boston on Friday... I hope that blizzard clears up!
Thanks for your prayers...

aw...missleannegallick the widow... so, did you meet this uncle dave guy ;)
yeah, i'm actually missing being around kids here at cedarville. i can like kids, at times, as long as i can give them back when i feel the need.
Sooo... I am sitting here with missleannegallick, the widow, who is pestering me about never having commented on her blog. Can we say bad attitude? No, I shouldn't say that. She's making cevapi for me tonight, so I want my kindness and gentleness to be evident to all. Oh wait, now that I think about it, she's already informed that Anita and I will be doing all the cooking tonight, and she will simply sit like a prima donna and watch us.
Does this sound like the missleannegallick that y'all know?
uh yeah...that's missleannegallick all right!
losers... you will both be blocked from my blog...
jana - did you know this was susan who visited this past summer??
