December 5, 1979...

The day my family's lives were changed forever... my little sister was born. Yes, twenty-seven long years ago, Jean Marie came into existence...



I thought I'd share some of my favorite memories of Jean... There was the time she was smelling flowers from the front yard, and one got stuck way up her nose... And then there was the time she got a chunk of birdseed in her eye. Oh, and when she was riding her bike and was hit by a car - I don't know why that one makes me laugh the most. I'll never forget when she lit up the living room by sticking tweezers into the electrical socket (I should have saved the melted tweezers). It made a great sizzling, sparking noise too. Kind of like firecrackers gone bad. And my personal favorite was when she climbed the neighbor's tree after she'd been told not to, and then she fell out of the tree and broke both her wrists as she tried to brace herself from impact. She had a pretty pink cast on one arm, and a pretty purple one on the other - what a way to start the 4th grade! Didn't you get your hand caught in the neighbor's door one time? I know I'm missing some stuff - I'm sure your brother can think of some more stories...



And now she's gonna get married... how she's grown up from a bratty little kid to a bratty woman... :) Does Spencer know what he's getting into? I wonder if she'll trip down the aisle... or fall into her wedding cake... if she wants sparks to really fly at the wedding, maybe I'll supply everyone with a pair of tweezers - they really do light up a room when inserted into an electrical socket!
