Ok, the good news first. My brother is getting married today! I'm so sad I can't be there. Actually, I'm really sad I'm not there as everyone else in the family is. But anyway, welcome to my new sister-in-law Angela - I look forward to meeting you in May! Oh, and did I tell you that they will be having a boy? Yep, another nephew for me. I look forward to meeting him in May as well.
Well... where do I begin? The saga finally ended today (part 1 of the saga anyway). Zoran and I spent five hours basically doing nothing but waiting for the truck to be unsealed. But the paperwork finally came through, and the people apparently felt badly for me because they didn't charge me their fee (which is about $40), and they sent some kind of form somewhere requesting that I don't have to pay a customs fee on my stuff. I don't know if they felt badly because of the mess yesterday or because I have the flu today, but praise God for that money saved.
Dreno called for some thing while we were waiting and he knew the story from last night, and when he found out I was sick, he got a couple guys together and then with them and Zoran, Ellis, and Sladjan, they unloaded everything from the truck with record speed and I wasn't allowed to lift a thing. That was great. I just said "that box there, this box here..." You got to love it when six men are at your beck and call :) I wish that happened more often.
So now 98% of my stuff is in the basement. Thank God I knew where my medicine was and I was beyond thrilled to see it come off the truck. I also got my microwave in the house and my hot water boiler thing...
Goodness... I just reread this post, and wow... I haven't written this horribly in a long time. I'm struggling to stay awake. Being able to get a whole lung-full of air without hacking would be nice too. I want to take a very hot shower, take massive amounts of drugs and go to bed. This wouldn't be a problem if I remembered to turn the boiler on... but alas. So now I have to wait for the water to heat up. I cannot believe I forgot to turn the boiler on.
I am just so thankful I have all my stuff, I have medicine, that I will have hot water in an hour, and that I can crawl into bed and snuggle with skoobi while the drugs take affect and whisk me off to lala land...
Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement. Do keep praying as I am still determined to somehow make it to Zagreb next week. I think I have a plan, so I'll see how it all pans out in the next few days. And do pray I can get over this flu or whatever I have very soon...

Oh yeah. "Take massive amounts of drugs" now there is a temporary solution I can get behind!

Praise God for one more step... and cold medicine!!!
