I don't understand why it's snowing... There was barely a dusting of snow all winter, and now everything is in bloom and beautiful and the sun has been out and I could go outside for our afternoon walks in sandals and short-sleeves... sigh...
So this morning I dragged myself out of bed (I've been really tired lately... going to bed at nine, not wanting to get out of bed at all the next morning...) and wasn't happy to see the rain. But Skoobi loves walking in the rain (and so do I, actually, but usually when it's warmer) so we headed out to our walk. We met up with one of our park friends - a really sweet old lady that we talk to every morning. Well, half way through our walk, the rain changed to snow. Skoobi was thrilled. She loves snow more than rain. I, on the other hand, turned grouchy. I hate snow. Ok, it's beautiful, and I understand that... but it's slippery and cold, and eventually turns ugly. It was funny in that Skoobi's black coat slowly but surely turned white... the abonmidable snow dog. Now Skoobi is all snuggled up in my bed under my warm blankets, snoring away. She's so cute it kills me. I love that dog.
I really need to go. I have a lot to do today, but I'll leave you with a story from last week that still makes me smile. In regards to the old lady I mentioned above. Her name is Ljubica, and she is just so sweet. A little over a week ago, Skoobi and I met up with her in the park. I mentioned that my friend Wendy was coming from Bosnia for my birthday. She was so cute as, she speaks English pretty well, as she said "Oh happy birthday! And you'll be twenty _________?" I said "Actually, I'll be 35" She literally took a step back, put her hand over heart and said in Croatian "Svaka čast! Stvarno, ti izgledaš super!"
Ok, Germaine - I know you are dying to translate it - so go for it. Don't leave everyone in suspense for very long...
More later... I have another funny story from our walk yesterday... I'll keep you waiting for a few days :)

G!! Sorry it's taken me a few days to get back to you... I'll email you... You're very close... Svaka cast literally means - all the honor... so when someone scores a goal the commentator goes wild scream "svaka cast, svaka cast!" :) So yes, she basically said - Holy cow - you look super!! :)
ahhh... well, I got it as meaning worship, and one of the words wasn't translated so that it how I changed it to Praise God... ;-)
