My nephew, Casey Jay Able Binder-Gallick was born a month early last night... I think it was still April 18 in Oregon where he was born. :) I was going off the messages my brother sent me through the night to keep me updated on things (Angela's water broke, but she didn't go into labor and had to be induced hours later) and checked my email as soon as I got up to make sure that when he actually called me to let me know Casey was here, that it wasn't a dream!
Casey was 5lbs, 13oz and 19 1/4 inches long. The doctors said even though he is a month early, he is fine, but may suffer some jaundice. He also has a bruise on his head because he was born face-up instead of face-down... at least I think that's what my brother told me on the phone last night. But it all should heal up nicely.
I'm really glad I'll be in the States in a month. Casey's due date was the day I fly to the States (May 17)... I was afraid Angela would be late and I wouldn't get to meet him. Now I'll get to play with a 5 week old - fun!
I just wanted to share our happiness with you... I'll surely post more pictures when my brother has time to send them :)
