Heading for warmth....

Wow... is the Columbus, Ohio airport ever dead on Tuesday mornings... It's nice though because I can just sit here and catch up on some work and emails. Some of you may be thinking "Ohio? I thought she went to Chicago?" Well, I did go to Chicago last week and had a great time at IT - it was wonderful just having some time to rest and reflect and catch up with my friends there.

But on Saturday, I paid a surprise visit to Jana at Cedarville!! I didn't tell very many people about it because I did want it to remain a surprise, and well... yeah, so just the fewer people the better. I had a GREAT time surprising her (I suppose she got over being awoken before 1 on Saturday), and just meeting her friends and seeing her world. It was a nice little get away for me as well. We shopped and went out to eat and watched movies, scraped an inch of ICE off the car from the ice storm that hit the evening I got there (OH my goodness, that was crazy!!) went shopping some more and watched more movies... it was great! While she was in class on Monday, I went to see my good friends Ruth and Roy Lowrie who just live about 20 minutes away from the college. It was a good time. Hard because of Roy's cancer and brain injury, but great to see them and to be able to catch up with Ruth.

Jana looks great - her hair is fabulous. ;)

So, now I sit in the Columbus airport updating my blog, trying to catch up on email, and thinking about how I want to tweak some of my presentations. I will also be sitting at O'Hare later today for several hours, so I am hoping to get a lot my busy work done. But most of all, I am SO looking forward to returning to Florida and my flip-flops! Because even if it's cold there, it's a heck of a lot more warmer than HERE!

Ah, the airports... one of my favorite furlough memories.

Glad your surprise went well! Hope you defrost once you reach Florida.
